About The Artist

 

Tara Hamilton is a native Washingtonian who attended schools in the District of Columbia, receiving a B.A. and M.A. from Catholic University. She taught in the DC Public Schools, went on to manage Public Affairs for the District Government Department of Transportation and later, Public Works, then served as the chief spokesperson for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

 

Today, she uses art to communicate and works primarily
in watercolor and has a particular interest in finding the beauty
of daily scenes around us, focusing on the effect of light
and shadow.

 

She has exhibited her works in juried shows at:

    Crystal City, Virginia

  • The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, Washington, DC

  • The Hill Center, Washington, DC

  • River Gallery, Galesville, MD

  • Lost Creek Vineyard and Winery, Loudoun County, VA
